Terms and Conditions

  1. For all lessons, there is no refund for missed lessons by the student . For missed group lessons, there is no refund or rearrangement for the lesson.
  2. For 1:1 sessions, there is no refund for missed lessons by the student. One weeks notice is required to rearrange the lesson if the student wishes to re-arrange the lesson. If less than one weeks notice is given to rearrange the lesson from the student, then it is up to the discrepancy of the tutor whether they can rearrange the lesson in the short time. Regardless there is no refund for any missed lessons. If the tutor is unavailable for a particular lesson, due to an emergency or any situation, the tutor will reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time for the student and tutor.
  3. For 1:1 sessions, one months notice in advance is required, should you wish to cancel your sessions with the tutor.
  4. For 1:1 sessions, lessons run throughout the holiday term too. If you would like time off, during holidays, you can put your 1:1 sessions on hold for 1 or 2 months only. However one months notice in advance is required, to make this request. Please note – weekly classes (1 to 3 weeks) cannot be put on hold and have to be rearranged with the tutor, if you would like time off for 1 to 3 weeks.  
  5. For 1:1 sessions; payments must be received via monthly standing orders; a screenshot of the standing order is required to confirm your place with us. The standing order must be set up, where the first months payment is taken on the day of the first 1:1 session.
  6. Lessons maybe rescheduled to avoid clashing with main religious festivals. Every effort will be made to inform parents in advance and accommodate a suitable replacement lesson. Only 1 date for a replacement lesson will be offered to students, should the lesson be rearranged due to a religious festival.

All parents/guardians must ensure that they read the following Terms and Conditions of Enrolment before they enrol on a course. Please note that once your paid and booked on a course, with Twyford Tuition the following terms and conditions apply.

1. On payment of the course fee’s, which is non-refundable Twyford Tuition will reserve a place for your child on your selected course, which is done strictly on a first come first serve basis.

2. On payment of the agreed fees Twyford Tuition will provide tuition to the student; however Twyford Tuition do not guarantee in any way that the tuition will enable the student to pass the relevant exams or achieve entrance to their desired schools.

3. Twyford Tuition must be notified promptly of any absences through illness. Twyford Tuition must be notified of suspected or known infectious diseases so that appropriate action can be taken.

4. It is a basic stipulation of the agreement between the student/parent/guardian and Twyford Tuition or its representatives that neither Twyford Tuition nor its representatives are liable to the student in cases where Twyford Tuition is unable to fulfill any services to which they are contractually bound because of strikes or other reasons that are beyond their control. This includes traffic congestion and public transport delays or internet problems. The nature of online learning comes with the understanding that technical issues can occur at times, which are frustrating for all involved.  I would like to thank you in advance for your ongoing support and understanding to resolve issues whenever they occur.  For any instances where time is lost in the lesson, due to the tutor having technical issues; the tutor will then make up the time at the end of the lessons. Please note this is for the technical issues at the Tutors end only and not for any other technical issues.

5. Twyford Tuition reserves the right to change the times of the courses, and to make changes in regulations, syllabus, fees, etc. without prior notice.

6. Twyford Tuition accepts no responsibility or liability for personal accident or loss or damage of property. You are strongly advised to take out personal insurance.

Fees

7. Prices are correct at time of registration and are subject to change without notice.

Fees include all class tuition and homework each week. Fees are payable in advance by bank transfer or Direct Debit on a monthly basis. Payments by cheque win incur an admin fee of £5 per cheque.

Fees do not include:

  • Specialist or extra lessons
  • Exam entrance fees (if any)

Termination Policy

8. If for some unexpected reason you wish to withdraw your child from 1:1 lessons one months’  notice is required in writing.

9. All books and materials belonging to Twyford Tuition remain the property of Twyford Tuition and may need to be returned before departure.

10. All Twyford Tuition course materials are subject to copyright ©. Photocopying or any other means of electronic reproduction are strictly prohibited without written permission from Twyford Tuition Ltd.

Parents’ responsibilities: 

* To identify a suitable location for the child to use for the video session, for example a living room or dining area.  

* To ensure that as far as possible distractions are removed and there is quiet.  

* To make every effort to support lessons delivered in this way by ensuring the child is dressed, prepared and ready to learn.

* To ensure that the privacy of other family members is maintained during video sessions.

* To ensure that anyone in the household that might be seen during video sessions wears suitable clothing.

* To ensure that anyone in the household that might be heard during video sessions uses acceptable language.

* To ensure that mute is enabled when required.

* To not interrupt the course at any point. Any questions can be emailed after the course.

* To ensure that no photo’s or recording (either audio or video) of the sessions is made.

* To ensure no sharing of this email or links to any classes are shared with anyone else.

To not exchange any contact details (mobile/ email etc) or personal details with the tutor

Pupils’ responsibilities: 

* To be on time and be prepared.

* To remember to use the toilet and eat before (not during) your session.

* To make sure you are in a suitable location and that you are suitably dressed prior to the beginning of each scheduled video session.

* To make sure you have lesson resources, pen, paper, workbook etc, at hand.

* To check your camera and microphone are working prior to the start of the session.

* To mute yourself during the video session until your tutor tells you that you can use the microphone.

* To only use the ‘Chat’ function to ask questions and to answer the teacher’s questions.

* To use chat functions responsibly and as directed by your teacher.

* To raise your hand if you have a question and use hand gestures such as thumbs up to show understanding.

* To listen and focus on the lesson and to learn.

* To avoid having distractions such as mobile phones nearby.

* To respect your teacher, your fellow learners and yourself by doing your best, just as you would in class.

*To log off the call after the lesson is complete.

Violations of any of the above (highlighted in red), will cause your child to lose their place on this course and any future courses with Twyford Tuition.
